Crit feedback
we presented our ideas to 2 other groups in a presentation using our design boards. The feed back for our concept was really positive a lot of people saying that they would be more inclined to read books presented in this way. we asked a few questions to our audience such as what should be our logo the fox or the owl? and they voted the fox. We also asked which of the names is the strongest? and the said 'Secret book swap'
Other suggestions that were made:
- the event should take place on thursday on the graphics landing.- promoting the event needs to happen ASAP so that people are aware its going on.· Good idea to have the blog were people can put there reviews of the book - the logo of the fox should look smart so that it makes sense being the logo for reading books, e.g a monocle.· we should supply the books and then people swap there books in return which we then wrap up etc like a cycle. (this suggestion is really useful as it gives us a way of having a supply of books if the even takes off)
After the crit we had a group meeting and discussed everything that was discussed in the crit. we decided to go for planning the even for thursday that gave us 5 days to get everything together and sorted. We decided the logo was our main priority as once the logo was done we could then get posters and promo underway.
Action plan for weekend.
we decided we would all draw out some logos so that we could present them back to each other on monday and decide which one we thought works best as a group. We also decided to start looking into poster layout so that once we had the logo the poster would come tougher easily.
we also need to start thinking about the other products such as the pattern to wrap the book in, book mark and the stickers.
