These are the photographs from the day of the event (Tani's photographs). We started the day by assembling the books in a workshop line. Once all the books were assembled we covered a table in white paper and moves it in to the hallway. We placed one of the posters behind us so that if people have seen the poster they will connect us to the event.
When it hit 12 we went out and manned the table. To start with not many people approached us or they would come up to us and say they forgot three book. So we quickly had to inform people that it doesn't necceserally have to be a swap, the swap was just happening to generate more books incase we ran out. Once people new this they were a lot more inclined to take the books. once someone took a book we asked them to write down their student ID so that we could email them asking for some feedback and book review on the tumblr site.
I feel the day was a success as we managed to give away almost all the books only one was left. Although the 'swap' didn't actually happen I don't think it matters because it was literally just a way for us to generate more books. so all and all it was a great success.
Emma has sent the email out to the above addresses, hopefully we get there reviews on the tumbrl soon.
All positive feedback on the Facebook page.
