From doing research into process and finish we have decided as a group that the direction we want our cards to go is to look high quality and luxurious, as it isn't that often you get a humorous and beautifully crafted card. The look we want to go for is letter press, as this is something that is common in formal cards such as wedding invitations, so is very luxurious
Stamp / press
Obviously letter press is costly and restricting process as we want to create our own take on the font we use so that it captures the look of Nothern. So what we intend to do is hand render then digitise the typography, and then laser cut it into stamps as from researching we've noticed stamps give a similar effect and look to letter press.
Once we have chosen some type faces I am going to hand render them and then pass them on to David who will digitise them and custom the type faces so they are unique to the northern romance. We will the transform them into stamps.
Logo
I showed the group the logo and they had an attempt at creating the heart pie but we all agree'd the concept just wasn't working, we still want to stick with the pie though so Lizzie is going to have a play with the logo and see what she can generate.
