RESPONSIVE : YCN Churchill - Comcepts

Concepts :

After researching into Churchill and getting a better understanding of who he is as a person I now feel I can produce some relevant concepts to him.

Key research -

Churchill is a bold figure in appearance with distinct individual items of clothing such as his top hat, spotty bow tie and cigar.

Concepts :

The concepts I have come up with all circulate around things to do with Churchill that I think would be entertaining for the younger generation.

Concept 1 - Mask

Mask of the face of Winston Churchill, this will be an entertaining piece that the audience can interact with, but it will also be a way of getting children to recognise who Churchill is, as they will be seeing the face everywhere.

Concept 2 - Dress up kit

Dress up kit featuring iconic items that relate to Churchill such as
- hat
- spotty bow tie
- cigar
The audience will be able to interact and construct the kit making it entertaining and amusing. The mask concept could also develop into this dress up it.

Concept 3 - Fan Pack

Winston Churchill fan pack, in the style of what you would get if you got a music fan pack such as
- posters
- stickers
- foam  hand with fingers in victory sign instead of pointer
- cd (speeches)
- personal letters (messages from the war)

Concept 4 - Toy solders

Flat pack paper toy soldiers, that can be constructed to make 3d soldiers, replicas of what Churchill used to collect. On other side of paper (before constructed) could be facts or information about Churchill.

Concept 5 - Paper Bulldog

In similar style as concept 4, but this time a bulldog as that was Churchill's iconic pet and image to society. It also is a subtle relation to the brand Churchill insurance who have set the brief.

Concept 6 - Where's Winston ?

For the younger generation to remember who Churchill is they need to recognise him and memorise his face. A way of doing this is memory games such as where's wally. Wheres wally is a fun game to play and everyone knows and recognises who he is as they had to study and burn the image of him into their minds before they could play the game. This could be a successful and fun way of getting people to recognise Winston and also about the history as each scene could be associated to something he has done.
